MVP FAQs
My Vitals Pro is a new, first-of-its-kind, AI-powered KPI dashboard and practice management tool for the hearing care industry. MVP allows hearing care practice managers to use business intelligence to harness the power of their data to extract actionable insights that enable them to make critical decisions with confidence.
Before MVP, hearing care practice owners and managers had the following options for KPIs:
- Limited KPI and dashboard functionality within the OMS systems
- Manual, spreadsheet-based processes with limited KPIs tracked weekly, monthly, or quarterly
- Custom tools developed at great cost by BI developers outside of the hearing care industry
If you use Blueprint, CounselEar, Sycle, or TIMS, MVP integrates automatically with your OMS. If you use another system, reach out to us, and we’d be happy to work with you to figure out whether MVP can work with your existing system.
Getting started with MVP is easy. You sign 3 documents: a Business Associates Agreement, Data Authorization Form, and MVP User Agreement. We complete the data integration in a few business days, and then we reach out to schedule your Onboarding Call, which takes about an hour. We take you through a demo of MVP that now has your real data in it, and you’re able to ask questions, we can give you feedback on what we see, and more. From there, all you do is check MVP daily or as often as you’d like! There is nothing that you or your staff needs to do for the tool to run continuously.
MVP is updated nightly. Small feature enhancements happen regularly, and major feature enhancements happen approximately quarterly.
Yes – we can restrict visibility to certain components of MVP for individual users on your team.
We have gone to great lengths to ensure that your data is secure from end-to-end. Please contact us for a copy of our Security Protocols.
Yes, MVP breaks out your hearing aid and non-hearing aid revenue, TPA units + revenue, appointment data, and payments collected.
MVP ingests data of wildly varying degrees of cleanliness and completeness and transforms it into usable information. Nobody’s data is 100% perfect, and making the most of the data you have is better than ignoring it. Even if your data is incomplete, for example if you don’t track payments in your OMS, there are plenty of elements of MVP that will still be accurate and enable insights because we’ve used machine learning and other AI to remove the human as much as possible from the backend calculations to help compensate for data entry and other errors.
Yes! Even if you just started using your OMS or have a new practice, MVP will work for you. Every section of the report can use customized time periods for what makes sense for your situation. And as your practice and dataset grow, MVP will become increasingly useful and valuable for you.
Yes! If your prior system was another OMS and that data was migrated to your current OMS, MVP will pull it in. If your prior system was another OMS and that data was not migrated to your current OMS but you have the raw files, we can work to ingest them into MVP for better historical reporting and comparison. If your prior system was not one of the OMS that integrates with MVP, reach out to us, and we’ll see if we are able to populate your MVP with that data in its current form.
MVP receives a complete dataset from your OMS every single night, so the tool includes historical reporting and comparison features from day 1. And even if you correct an error from the past, it will reflect accurately in MVP the next morning and going forward.
My Vitals Pro includes an Onboarding Fee and a Monthly Subscription Fee that varies depending on your practice size. The contract can be canceled any time with no penalty. There are a number of ways to pay for MVP with manufacturer loyalty programs, business development funds, promos, and more – reach out to us for more information.
We know that not everyone has a data science background! That's why MVP is designed to be easy to understand at a glance, usually visuals, color, and more. The platform also offers MVP Insights, which are a suite of tools designed to transform your practice data into actionable intelligence, even for someone brand new to analytics. We also offer robust support including an in-depth Onboarding process over the course of your first 1-2 months, monthly MVP Office Hours, 1:1 Support sessions on demand, training videos, a knowledge base, glossary, and more.
Book a support call with our team. We can walk you through any questions about your data integrity, how the KPIs are calculated, and what they might mean. If you need additional help interpreting or taking action on your data, we suggest consulting your business advisor – if you don’t have one, we can refer you to one. We can grant your business advisor access to your MVP with their own user login.
- Seasonality Indexing for Revenue Forecasting
- Schedule Utilization Rate (both backward- and forward-looking)
- Actual vs. Expected Values for all KPIs
- Revenue & Units per Patient Hour
- Segmenting important data by New Patients vs. Existing Patients
- Average Fitting Fee by TPA Company
- Comparison to Like-Size Clinics for all KPIs
- Market Share & Penetration Rate
- …and much, much more
The Market Share tool is the only part of MVP that brings in data from outside your OMS. We use government data sources for population demographics and Medicare Advantage enrollment, combined with publicly available HIA and MarkeTrak data, and apply a proprietary algorithm to estimate the number of hearing aid users, hearing aid units + revenue — both broken out by private pay and TPA — in every zip code in the US.
MVP is powered in part by data that is input, stored and pulled from your office management system. This data is automatically organized and analyzed by MVP to provide actionable business intelligence with insights, visualizations, comparisons to your own historical performance and goals, benchmarking to like-size practices, and more.
Your personal practice data is never shared without your explicit consent. Your practice data is anonymized and aggregated for the purpose of benchmarking, so that all MVP users can benefit from understanding their strengths and weaknesses across a variety of KPIs. This anonymous aggregated data is also occasionally used to support articles and education that report on industry trends.
